Securing the Facilities Frontline Through the Storm

November 01, 2024

The aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton have led many to ask, “What can I do?” as a show of support for those who have been affected by the storms.

In response, ESFM joined Compass Group’s campaign where associate charitable contributions were matched to a collection of not-for-profit organizations focused on hurricane relief across several states.

ESFM associates have also stepped up to support the communities we serve and the clients we partner with.

A volunteer packs an ESFM Cares kit, including a blanket and personalized note, to support others. Our teams jumped in to help with hurricane preparedness for a life sciences client’s sites in Florida and Georgia. Our light maintenance teams worked overnight shifts to keep the sites operational and avoid interruptions for our clients in a critical supply chain location.

In Greenville, N.C., teams sprang into action when Hurricane Helene hit an engineering and construction client’s facilities just before a critical event. They organized recovery efforts, ensured staff were in place for cleanup, cleared parking areas, removed fallen branches, and even brought in extra help to prepare the site.

During ESFM’s FY25 National Meeting, we collected toiletries, small baby and children’s toys and a variety of winter items in partnership with the United Way to help hurricane victims with future needs.

As the long road to recovery and rebuilding continues, ESFM stands ready to show how ESFM Cares.
