ESFM USA® was recognized as the Gold Stevie® Award winner for Sustainability – Saving Energy in the 23rd annual American Business Awards® for identifying more than $4.2 million in annual energy saving opportunities.

The awards drew more than 3,600 nominations from organizations across nearly every industry. The American Business Awards are the USA’s premier business awards program, nicknamed the “Stevies” for the Greek word meaning “crowned.” Gold represents the highest honor in each category, reserved for the top-scoring entry.

ESFM won a Bronze Stevie Award in 2024 for Achievement in Thought Leadership.

ESFM partners with its clients to develop site-specific strategies that help them reach their business goals, including sustainability and operational cost savings targets. The gold award acknowledges how ESFM’s self-performed Technical Services & Energy Solutions have helped clients optimize energy and utility use, lowering CO2 emissions and saving money.

“This award is a testament to the invaluable knowledge and expert guidance of ESFM’s Technical Services & Energy Solutions team,” said Lawyna Holland-Parish, ESFM Vice President, Center of Excellence. “They have consistently identified significant cost and energy savings for our clients across a variety of facility sizes and types, both old and new. The impact of these findings goes beyond lower utility bills. We are creating healthier environments where occupants can thrive.”

Two impactful examples of ESFM’s innovative energy management strategies include Energy Treasure Hunts and continuous monitoring and analysis of assets connected to a facility’s Building Automation System (BAS). These initiatives identified $4.2 million in annual energy savings, equivalent to more than 14,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e), over an 18-month period. Where ESFM has leveraged its solutions for clients, facilities have realized substantial improvements and savings well over hundreds of thousands of dollars – energy savings of 10-30% by addressing inefficiencies and optimizing how the equipment operates.

ESFM has received numerous recognitions for its sustainability solutions, including a Gold Globee Award for Achievement in Sustainability and the prestigious Sheila Sheridan Award for Sustainable Facility Operations and Management in the IFMA Awards of Excellence. In addition, ESFM is the first facility management company to achieve ENERGY STAR Industrial Service and Product Provider status.
