CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 7, 2025) – Expanding their commitment to service and community impact, ESFM and Eurest, leading facilities management and foodservice companies for business and industry, are offering a new employee benefit for salaried team members: Volunteer Time Off (VTO). Through community impact programs, ESFM Cares and Eurest Cares, the companies foster a culture of action and service through both team activities and individual volunteer work.

The new VTO benefit reflects ESFM and Eurest’s ongoing investment in building a culture of purpose-driven work, offering employees more flexibility to give back in ways that are personally meaningful with additional time off. Eligible team members may take up to eight hours of VTO annually during business hours to volunteer with a charitable or non-profit organization as defined by company policy.

Operating coast to coast ESFM and Eurest serve a diverse range of clients across America’s most respected employers and companies, including many of the Fortune 100.

“We may be a national company, but our greatest impact happens in hometowns and neighborhoods across the country,” said Tony McDonald, CEO of ESFM and Eurest. “Volunteer Time Off reflects who we are – a hospitality company that puts people first. When we equip people to serve with purpose, we don’t just strengthen our communities – we strengthen our culture.”

In 2024, ESFM Cares and Eurest Cares evolved into a robust community impact program, starting with coordinated times throughout the year for company-wide service moments to encourage involvement in local communities. As an example, more than 150 team members organized 20 service projects across the country in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, including volunteering at food banks, animal rescue shelters, donation centers and through neighborhood clean-ups.

ESFM and Eurest also recognize April as Inclusion and Impact Month, a company-wide observance to foster inclusive environments and creating positive impact in neighborhoods where we live and operate. As part of this initiative, team members will gather in major markets for Best Buddies Friendship Walks in support of the organizations’ partnership to provide meaningful job opportunities and workplace inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
