ESFM Division Named Outstanding Employer by Department on Disability Services

A division of ESFM specializing in boutique facility services including mailroom management, shipping and receiving, reception and hospitality management was named an Outstanding Employer by the Washington, D.C. Department on Disability Services (DDS). The recognition was given as part of the department’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month celebration.

Since 2022, ESFM site leadership for an education client specializing in deaf and hard of hearing education has intentionally expanded its applicant pool in the deaf community. Approximately 30% of mailroom employees since that time have been sourced through DDS.

“We have formed a wonderful partnership that has given us an opportunity to create awareness and inclusion in this wonderful network,” Regional Director Denny Modesto said.

The DDS provides the residents of the District of Columbia with information, oversight and coordination of services for people with disabilities and those who support them, such as service providers and employers.
